Buy war bonds

Does anyone remember learning "You're a Grand Old Flag" in preschool? I sure don't, but Abigail knows all the words, complete with a little chest thumping at "Every heart beats true for the red, white and blue ..." Really quite strange.

I don't know if i learned it preschool, but i know i learned it. Along with every other patriotic song there is. I remember my kindergarten graduation, we had to do the patriotic medly, and do all of the armed forces songs. And "God Bless the USA" by Lee Greenwood is cemented in my memory, as is "The Star-Spangled Banner" and many others. Welcome to growing up in a military town. :)

My personal favorite cheesy patriotic song is "Yankee Doodle Dandy." "A real, live nephew of my Uncle Sam, born on the fourth of July..."
I have to admit, I. learned a bunch of religious songs at preschool. Religion, patriotism...guess it's six of one, half a dozen the other, eh?
