Trade ya!

Oh my goodness, I have a new favorite place: Trader Joe's. What a fabulous store! (The first one just opened last month in Charlotte, for those of you who live in hipper places and are laughing at me.) I wanted to buy everything, all the international sauces and the delicious-sounding prepared foods and the marinated meats and the WINE! Oh my, the WINE! I actually caught myself staring with my mouth open at the insanely cheap prices!! I can justify a 25 minute drive once a month or so for that!

A., have you been yet?!?! You would LOVE it! We should go some preschool day and just spend a couple of hours oohing and ahhing!

They are building a Trader Joe's in Greenville, and we're positively THRILLED. We've been to the one in Atlanta once, and it was great. Their brand of wine, the really cheap stuff, tastes good. And we love their pizza dough! (And it's freezable, to boot.)

My brother in D.C. has one down the street from him, and I have one about 4 blocks from the gym. So I am laughing at you!!! Hahahahaha! Ha.

No seriously, I love their frozen dinners, their dried fruit WITHOUT sugar or sulpher or whatever added, and the coffee rocks-- you buy the can, grind it, put it back in the can and go pay for it. It is the ultimate snack food store-- and the juices are good too. I honestly haven't tried the wine-- got some good places for that already.

Grapevine has it that a Trader Joe's will be opening in downtown Tampa in the next few months, but the grapevine tends to be outrageously optimistic. Still, it would be nice.
What are the prices like for, you know, real food? Loaf of bread, dozen eggs, gallon of milk? I love Wild Oats but, uh... you don't do all your shopping there. I've heard the same about Trader Joe's.
