"I'm going to make the needy eat."

Hopefully this is a sign that I'm at least doing something right as a parent. For about 20 minutes this morning, Abigail wanted to play the hot new game that is sweeping the nation: "Help the needy." To play this, Mommy had to hold a bucket, wear a Santa hat and ring a bell. Abigail then proceded to drop in "money" (toppings from her wooden pizza set) one at a time, often taking on personas of different children, and saying, "Merry Christmas!"

I would say that's a big affirmative on the "doing something right as a parent" front. I am so looking forward to seeing you at the New Years stuff this year.

This may be one of the funniest "extended dunce family" stories in a LONG LONG time. Aside from some game with Uncle Duncey and alligators???

Yes, your dear brother taught my child that Little People alligators are supposed to run around eating peacocks. We had to keep this up for days. So much for the idyllic world of Noah's arc.

unfortunately we heard that even the dunce had some trouble getting the routine right, though it seems he was the one who started it. glad someone can keep him in his place. :)
