After a successful week at VBS, Abigail has taken "God is love" to heart. The week had an archaeological theme, and she loves her little "treasures," especially the tiny magnifying glass, as well as the small wooden cross. Which she put to good use the other night. Brad had just announced it was time for bedtime stories when our adorable daughter brandished her cross, holding it at arm's length toward her father, as you would do to fend off a vampire, and said, "Jesus loves you! You can't say that to me!"
What, no garlic in that little treasure chest?

It wasn't "Faith Expedition," was it?
Nope, "Treasure Seekers." It's funny, last year, all the churches seemed to have the same curriculum, some kind of safari thing. This year, I've only seen one the same as Abigail's, and none of the others around town are repeated.
I laughed so hard over this and passed it on to the Dunce's mother and also the noblesvillian, all who laughed heartily!!!
Ahhh...let me know some day if you'd like to know the alchemy of vbs publishing (or as /my/ church calls it: vEbs--for very exciting bible school [insert snort here]). I'm sure you can guess that similar denominations order from the same suppliers. But it's the /rotation/ that's key. =)
I always like to say "I put the BS back in VBS" but I guess I got trumped.
