I need an empire waist dress

How on earth can I not like this one? Thanks, Shana! Though I do have to dig out my Austen to remember exactly who Jane was ...

(Later: Damn, this is annoying! I've read the book, I loved the book. Who the hell was Jane?! I think I'm all confused with "Sense and Sensibility" ...)

You scored as Jane Bennet. As someone who would rather see the good in people, Jane is a true pacifist and caregiver. At times, her shy temperament and naive outlook of people can land her in a compliant position, but those who know her love her for her positive spirit and cheerful view of what surrounds her.

Jane's the older, pretty, stable sister. The one who gets Bingley. Incidentally, Bingley's the charming one in my opinion. Don't need a brooding Mr. Darcy thankyouverymuch.
I'll take the test and get back with you.

Okay, I'm back. I'm elizabeth Bennett, Jane's sister. How charming....
Except I came close to being Charlotte Lucas, and that's less flattering to Tim than it is to me. Sigh.

You're welcome! Like Jenny said, she's the older pretty sister.

I really don't know how I came out as Elizabeth. I thought for sure I was Elinor. Oh, well. As I said, at least I wasn't the old cranky lady!

Yeah, I can really only place S&S, Persuasion and Mansfield Park. Well, and Emma, obviously, though I've never seen or read that. And I remember the overall P&P plot, but the characters are all a jumble. Might have to add it back to the "To Read" list.

Really you should watch the BBC version with Jennifer Ehle & Colin Firth...long but lovely...

I know I'm no lady but I took the test anyway. I'm Elinor (72%), or you can just call me "Sense".

And can I complain about question 18? "I would rather chop my tongue with a butter knife off than say something to hurt someone." You know why.
